Adding New Pages
Instructions:
- Go to Settings > Website > Setup > Navigation > Navigation Menu Items
- Click "Add item"
- Select "Custom Page" from Navigation Menu Type
- Enter the Title
- Enter the Path that will be used for the link URL. The Path should be the title converted into lowercase text and underscores to represent spaces. This path must be unique. You cannot have two documents named using the same path. It is critical that the page uses only lowercase a-z, 0-9 and underscores, and no spaces or special characters. In the example below, the path 'title_of_new_page' will become the full link: [https://www.convergentpoints.com/title_of_new_page]
- Click Save
Adding the Content
Please copy and paste your content from Microsoft Word and not from Google Sheets. Google Sheets formats the content in HTML, and when pasted, it will override the Website's style sheet and make the fonts appear incorrectly once saved. If you do not have a copy of Microsoft Word, please use Sharepoint's Microsoft Word to create your documents.
Please use Word's inbuilt Style sheets to create Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 style definitions for your section headings. When you paste things from Word which have been defined this way, the website will recognize them has headings and will reformat them according to the website's style guide.
